  • Shrinks at 625 F.
  • Reduces Friction

Dual Shrink PTFE / FEP

Heat Shrinkable Dual Wall PTFE FEP Tubing is constructed with an exterior jacket of Heat Shrinkable PTFE and an inner liner of Extruded FEP. Dual Shrink PTFE FEP is designed for use in areas of high temperature, and takes advantage of an FEP inner liner that melts during shrink down. The FEP melt liner creates a seal not available with other Fluoropolymers. When shrinking, the FEP melts and flows while the heat shrink PTFE compresses and contains the material forming a solid mechanical encapsulation.

Dual Wall PTFE FEP or Dual Shrink  is designed to provide a tight, moisture-proof bond over wires, cables, connectors, splices, terminals. Dual Wall material can also be used as an end cap for wires.

Heat Shrinkable Teflon PTFE Tubing

Heat Shrink PTFE Tubing possesses excellent characteristics for use in high temperature applications, corrosive environments and as an electrical insulator. Heat Shrink PTFE Tubing offers the ultimate performance with the highest continuous working temperature of all Fluoropolymers. PTFE Shrink Tubing can be used for insulating, terminating, moisture sealing, splicing, and wire bundling.  Colored Heat Shrink PTFE tubing is a great visual for coding wires.

Coiled TEFLON FEP Tubing

Thermo Forming allows Tef Cap to design a retractable coil from FEP or PFA Fluoropolymer Tubing.  This heat setting will allow the coil to maintain its helical coiled shape and become retractable. Using the non stick properties of  FEP Tubing a FEP Coiled Tube also becomes a transport for some of the most viscous fluids without fear of a line clog, allowing for unrestricted flow.

FEP Coiled Tubing can also be used to increase surface area and exposure time in “UV” purification systems and are manufactured from FDA compliant materials.
Tef Cap’s FEP Coiled Tubing are custom manufactured coils that are designed to meet each customers specific requirements.

Applications:
  • DI Water Dispensers
  • DI Re-circulators
  • Heat Exchangers
  • Laboratory
  • Pure Chemical Dispensers
  • Where corrosive chemicals are used in plating

PTFE Spiral Wrap

PTFE Spiral Wrap tubing is an expandable wrap that offers abrasion protection for wires, cables, hoses and tubing. PTFE Spiral Wrap Tubing allows for the highest temperature range of insulation within the spiral cut materials. It wraps tightly to wire and cable bundles, yet maintains its flexibility even when bent around tight turns.

Wire harnessing, cabling and bundling work is simplified with the use of spiral wrap. Spiral Wrap Tubing allows for wire, cable and hose break-outs in any orientation, making it ideal for use on long continuous runs where many leads are required.

PTFE Spiral Wrap is chemically inert, non-flammable and not affected by solvents, acids or alkalis.
Spiral Wrap Tubing is also  available in FEP & Nylon. Spiral Wrap or Spiral Cut PTFE is also available in colors for easy identification.
  • Applicable Specifications: MIL-T-47287, ASTM D 3295.
  • Operating Temperature: up to 500 F.
  • Flammability: Self extinguishing
  • RoHS Compliant

Corrugated FEP Tubing

Corrugated FEP Tubing is engineered to be a flexible Fluoropolymer tube that can turn sharp corners and be shaped with very small bend diameters without reducing the inside diameter. It can be used as an electrical or fluid conduit for robots equipped with flexible arms that contain electrical wiring, air, or corrosive liquids. Corrugated FEP Tubing will operate in applications where high temperatures are required and other materials are not suitable. Corrugated FEP Tubing can be reinforced with Kevlar braid, or other textile braids for operations at higher pressures.

FEP and PFA are high temperature materials that have a non-stick surface, allowing easy cleaning. Both FEP and PFA are excellent electrical insulators and resist most strong corrosive liquids including hot acids. Tef-Cap’s Corrugated FEP Tubing is manufactured from virgin PFA / FEP resin and is non-contaminating. Corrugated Tubing can also be manufactured from high purity PFA.

  • Recommended for low temperature and low pressure applications.
  • Bend Diameter : 1/2 of Tubing Inside Diameter.
  • Extension – Compression Length Ratio : Approximately 2:1
  • Standard sizes : 1/4″ – 3/8″ – 1/2″ – 5/8″ – 3/4″ – 7/8″ – 1″ – 1 1/4″ – 1 1/2″ – 2″

Convoluted PTFE Tubing

Tef-Cap’s Convoluted PTFE Tubing is engineered to be an equivalent to that of Corrugated FEP Tubing where sharp turns and small band diameters are needed. It can be used as an electrical or fluid conduit in the semi conductor industry. Convoluted PTFE Tubing will operate in applications where high temperatures are required and other materials are not suitable. Both PTFE and FEP are FDA approved materials and can be used in food and medical industry.

Convo PTFE  is a high temperature material that has a non-stick surface, allowing easy cleaning. Convo PTFE is an excellent electrical insulator and resist most corrosive liquids including hot acids.
  • PTFE has the best flex-life and can be post formed with cuffs easier than FEP or PFA.
  • Convoluted Tubing can be reinforced with stainless steel wire on the O.D. for operations at higher pressures.
  • Conductive PTFE Convoluted Tubing is also available.
  • Recommended for higher temperature and pressure applications.

Heat Shrinkable Teflon FEP Roll Covers

Heat Shrinkable FEP Roll Cover

 Teflon FEP Roll Cover
Heat Shrinkable Teflon FEP Roll Covers are specifically engineered to extend roller life and to eliminate roller build-up and picking.  Teflon FEP Roll Covers are used in a wide spectrum of industries, including textile, packing, printing, paper, photographic and food.

Various industries take advantage of Teflon FEP’s unique properties that include almost universal chemical resistance, zero moisture absorption, and the best anti-stick/release surface possible. Most materials will not adhere to FEP but even those that might “cling” to the surface can be wiped off with a damp cloth. Nothing will release adhesives and glues as well as FEP and no other surface prevents picking and build–up like FEP.

Tef-Cap produces Heat Shrinkable FEP Roll Covers with a .020-inch wall thickness for rollers ½ to 12 inches in diameter and lengths up to 10 feet. Our unique process produces a cover with no surface imperfections and with significantly greater flex life, which is especially important on rubber rollers.
